Ask your AI assistant who gave consent

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to pactbase. Ask in plain words who you may email, what a person agreed to, or who said no this week.

pactbase runs a read-only MCP server, the standard way AI assistants connect to other tools. Every answer comes from your consent ledger.

Questions you can ask

  • “May I email these people?”

Checks up to 25 emails for one purpose at a time: granted, not granted or never asked.

  • “What did this person agree to?”

Their latest choice for each purpose, when and where they made it, and the Consent ID on their receipt.

  • “Who said no this week?”

Searches the consent ledger by date, person, form, purpose, website or where the choice was made.

  • “What does our signup form ask?”

The purposes on a form, the wording people saw, the live notice version and the languages it is in.

  • “Which purposes do we ask consent for?”

Every purpose, whether it is for data or cookies, its lawful basis and whether it is in use.

  • “Which organisation am I connected to?”

The organisation, how you signed in and what the connection is allowed to do.

For the people who get asked

  • Marketing

Check a list before a campaign goes out, not after a complaint comes in.

  • Support

Answer “what did I agree to?” in the same reply, with the date and the Consent ID.

  • Legal and privacy

Pull refusals and withdrawals for a review without exporting a spreadsheet.

Safety

Read only, by design.

  • It cannot change consent

The assistant can look up purposes, forms and decisions. It cannot record, change or withdraw consent. Only the person can, on your banner, forms or preference centre.

  • It sees only your organisation

Sign in with your pactbase account, or use an API key. The assistant reads with that access and nothing more.

  • You decide how long it stays

A connection lasts until you or an admin end it in Settings › Connected apps.

  • It has a rate limit

Each key is limited to 60 calls a minute by default, so a long list is checked in batches.

Connect in three steps

https://mcp.pactbase.in/mcp
  1. 01

    Add the server

In your assistant’s connector settings, add the pactbase server address.

  2. 02

    Sign in to pactbase

Click Connect, sign in, check the app name and click Allow. Tools without a Connect button use an API key.

  3. 03

    Ask a question

Start with “Which pactbase organisation am I connected to?”, then ask about your own data.

Step-by-step setup, by browser or terminal, is in the pactbase MCP guide. For sync that runs on its own, see all pactbase integrations.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants use other products as tools. pactbase’s MCP server lets an assistant read your consent data when you ask it a question.
Can the assistant change or withdraw consent?
No. The connection is read only. Consent is recorded only when a person gives it, on your banner, forms, preference centre or through your own systems.
Which AI assistants work with pactbase?
Claude, ChatGPT with developer mode, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, OpenAI Codex CLI and n8n AI agents. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers can connect.
Do I need an API key?
Not for Claude or ChatGPT: click Connect and sign in with your pactbase account. Other tools use a pactbase API key with read access to consent.
Who in my team can connect?
An admin, or a member whose team role can see Consent. The assistant then reads with that person’s access, and stops if they lose it.
Does it replace automatic sync to my CRM or email tool?
No. An assistant answers when someone asks. A withdrawal should stop emails every time, without anyone asking, so keep that automatic through an integration or webhook.
